We are excited to feature Prof. Luigi Piegari from Politecnico di Milano (Italy) as one of our distinguished speakers!

Prof. Piegari earned both his M.Sc. (cum laude) and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II. After completing his Ph.D., he continued his academic career there as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow before joining the Politecnico di Milano in 2009.

At Politecnico di Milano, he has served as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and is currently Full Professor in Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, and Drives within the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering.

He is the author of over 200 scientific publications in leading international journals and conference proceedings. His research focuses on:

- Power electronics for automotive and grid-connected applications

- Energy storage device modeling

- Wind and photovoltaic energy generation

- Modeling and control of multilevel converters

- DC distribution grids

Prof. Piegari has participated as a local or principal investigator in numerous projects funded by the European Commission and private industry. He also serves as Associate Editor of the IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Industrial Electronics and IET Renewable Power Generation.
